Obama entered office with a Democrat congress and guided us like a bully. He rammed Obama Care down our throat which has since been examined by his own team to have serious flaws and will be examined by the Supreme Court to see if it is even constitutional. He led us like a crazed investor into the “green energy maze” and bungled loans to questionable companies like Solyndra which has already cost the tax payers millions and now we are paying millions more for the out of work victims from that poorly thought out investment. Obama with his control of congress for the first two years spent a trillion dollars on infrastructure and bailouts IMstupidlike General Motors and Chrysler) and still leaving us at this time with 9% unemployment…...and even worse a 100% debt to GDP ratio. Our chances of regaining tax payer billions on the car companies is looking extremely weak especially as the EU economy collapses from burdens of entitlement spending, debt and high taxes. GM sells a great number of cars in the EU and needs to keep doing that to stay profitable after the massive US taxpayer bailout.

Voter outrage took complete control of Congress away from Obama one year ago. Now, the “want to be leader” stands on the side lines and tells congress to work it out. When no progress is made on the economy, Obama blames the Republicans with class warfare charges and defends the Democrats and Left with their “tax the rich or no deal” partisan stand.
During the first two years when Obama led with maximum power…..he bungled!

And now, when there was a chance to show some compromise leadership, what does Obama do? With a stroke of the pen he could have raised “bravos” from everyone except the “extreme environmentalists” who would sell out the human race for an endangered rat! He could have signed the Keystone Pipeline and shown true by-partisan leadership!

A good leader must bolster confidence and give hope to large segments of the American society and Obama could have accomplished this with one stroke of his pen! Here would have been the positive outcome from competent leadership….

Obama would have created 20,000 union jobs instantly and many more after the completion of the pipeline. He would have expanded the partnership with our Canadian friends by increasing our oil reserves while assuring us that Canada’s fossil fuels would not go to China to be used with limited environmental concerns. He would also demonstrate that he could make wise investments in needed fossil energy as he continues his more risky support for green energy! He could have shown us all in a small way that he cares about and understands the need for energy independence until new forms of energy are perfected. And it wouldn’t cost a thing because the Pipeline will more likely than anything he has done to bring tax income and profits to our suffering economy! There are too many uses for oil in every world economy, and always will be, for Obama too play politics with this one issue…..but he did!

On a perfect compromise moment, Obama chose “no we can’t!” When he could have encouraged most of us with “”yes we can,” he continues to stumble and blame others!

Obama is not a leader. He is a victim of his socialist ideology and believing that bullying those who disagree with him is quality leadership!

I am Agnostic and believe that freedom of belief is essential for the success of liberal democracy, liberty and freedom. A concern of mine has always been the partnership of all competing religions standing together to demonize the people who are enlightened and do not accept supernatural faiths. After all, the religious are compassionate, turn the other cheek and love their enemies as they do themselves….right? I don’t think so…at least from what I see. My concern for the religious is that they are wrong and being bilked in numerous ways by the powers that control them. They should be more open to their beliefs being wrong, because they don’t have to worry about being sent to hell and should be much more concerned about the scam they are funding while alive. I do believe we should always have the freedom to follow chosen faiths, and hope with time religious believers will find enlightenment to the truths presented by reality and science.

Here is the problem. All religions are constructed by men to necessarily condemn the non-believers and join together to assure punishment now and after death to the godless ones. Religions that don’t respect or trust one another are bound together by mutually fearing non-believers, because it threatens their supernatural faith based beliefs by suggesting they should actually question their own God. What better thing could religions do than turn the other cheek and offer understanding and acceptance to the poor non-believers? What would Jesus do? Even though Christianity thinks Islam is evil..and vice-versa, they will stand together as “Brothers in Faith Belief” to condemn the non-believer. The non-believers I know are much more honest and gracious than that. Non-believers do openly fight back because the arrogance of religion is unbearable and very judgmental from those who specifically say “thou shalt not judge!”What really gets me, is that any religion that truly believes their scriptures, should easily find the strength and comfort to not worry one second about the effects of non-belief. They should respect the freedom of Agnostics and Atheists while looking forward to bliss in heaven without them.

There is nothing more convoluted than a faith based religion defending a clearly questionable belief. It is the reason religions will always fight each other…..while joining together to condemn the godless ones! there is a God…..It surely will be very angry that no one knew who It is and what It wants…or maybe It just doesn’t care?TryUsingLogicwww.TheFreedomOfBelief.com

We were guaranteed the freedom of belief and from belief, the promise of the individual right to dream our chosen dreams in the pursuit of a better life and personal happiness. Freedom is a powerful thing! We were also guaranteed the priceless right to vote and choose the continuing path of our government. That freedom gives us the responsibility to inform ourselves and make the best decisions to protect our individual rights and liberties. Freedom also allows us to distort history and deny the failures by government domination, theocracies and societies that have rejected individual rights. The warning signs are everywhere …..Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Venezuela, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia…etc…etc…etc! Freedom gives us the right to choose the continuing path of liberal democracy, individual rights and free market prosperity handed us through the sacrifices and bravery of our forefathers, or opt for the mundane sameness and slavery demanded by failed attempts of authoritarian governments and forced theocracies. Freedom also has given us to the tool to socialize democracies at the expense of the individual by awarding government more and more power IMstupidEU, Canada, and USA). Freedom is a powerful thing and can be self destructive because it allows us to choose an overpowering government that can erase that freedom! Freedom does not guarantee perfect societies, but history proves loss of freedoms guarantees even worse!

And it follows, if you don’t treasure individual rights, liberty and liberal democracy…..freedom is not high on your list!

Our freedoms are priceless…..but we can all afford them!
The beauty of America is our forefathers established a foundation to protect freedom of belief and not endorse any religion within the government.

It amazes me that the diverse selection of religions in America cannot understand the importance of separation of church and state. All religions have the underlying theme that the world would be better if their scriptures and dogma dominated everyone's life and controlled the law of the land.

As a non-believer I always stand firm for the rights of all of us to believe what we choose. I never demonstrate or protest to remove the rights of anyone's choice to believe. I feel that true freedom to believe is the only path to educating and enlightening those who have open minds. It is a slow path but the absolute freedom to believe without government interference is the only path to the liberation of mankind from fictitious gods. And I think religions are, down deep, terrified by that freedom!

When religions deny separation of church and state, they endanger their freedom and survival!

If I have disbelief and non-trust in God, isn’t it obvious that I am not practicing any “faith?”

I do not attend meetings to confirm that everyone who believes differently than me are going to hell or suffer miserably for eternity. I simply disbelieve in Gods men offer me, do not accept traditional

And it is a fact....Science has clearly proven what causes tides….come on Bill!

At the first reporting of the shooting incident aimed at killing Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, FNC was commenting on one of Jared Lee Loughner’s last statement as being he did not “trust in God.” As opposed to the terrorists who flew planes into the Twin Towers because they trusted totally in their God, it seems like a moot point. As a non-believer it get’s old when every religion jumps up to spin their version of reasons for a sad act by a deranged person. Hearing that it was a miracle of God that Rep. Giffords was shot through the skull and might survive [with brain injuries] when 6 others including a 9 year old girl were dead with 13 others seriously injured is just about as god delusional as it can get. If God was there and taking time to help, why didn’t God place a qualified and brave policeman or citizen right behind Loughner to stop him? The reason believers keep saying that God works in strange ways is because they can’t explain or understand one single action they credit to the chosen god they can never validate! That’s why there are 10,000 religions that can’t agree on anything except their common struggle to prove that non-believers are fools!

People have the freedom and right to believe in any god they choose, but making silly scenarios about why God did a miraculous thing defies reality and common sense! If a God did anything in this senseless murder, it was by enabling the killer to get off his shots and harm so many people without protecting, in any way, the victims that believe and worship It!

There is mightiness about America, and it is not about a god. It is about the freedom and democracy we are so fortunate to have!

It seems like some gods are always one step late preventing trajedy, and other gods are out there enabling the destruction of any hope for good…… FOR GOD SAKES, GET REAL!

My 102 year old Mom always told me the story about her brother that missed a bus in WWII and it was destroyed by a bomb a few minutes later. Her brother said Jesus was protecting him…my Mom always said….”What was Jesus doing for the 40 soldiers on the bus that were killed?"

It’s time religions get back down to Earth!

The media that loved BO is saying his regime manipulated data about BP to make things not look so bad.
Obama and Obama want to tell us how to live healthy......BO still smokes....give me a break!
The majority of Ameicans do not want his health bill.....and he still arrogantly believes he is right on track!

There is great support that the Bush Tax cuts should be extended for everyone....BO doesn't get it.
BO's staff is falling apart.......running like scared jack rabbits!
BO blames the conservatives........and only 20% of America claims tobe Liberal....BO is out of touch!
Our projected taxes for his incompetence our astronomical.
BO can't see he is failing........He says we just don't understand....The Democrat candidates that ran against him said he was naive and inexperienced........how right they were!
The arrogance and denial of the typical Liberal......America got it with BO!

America looked to BO for change and got a Washington Big Government Liberal Democrat.....and the usual corruption!
The Liberals on Newsvine must be very nervous......and that gives me a good feeling! After all they are in the minority of America.
I bet BO is smoking 3 packs a day by now......too bad......if he could just use the power of logic and reason.
Obama blames it on the conservatives.......and all the while he is losing moderate democrats and independents....

Our forefathers came to America running away from theocratic governments that oppressed individuals with forced choice of religion. Even though they mentioned generic terms like "creator or maker" it should be clearly obvious that they structured a Constitution that would open the doors to freedom while guaranteeing that not one of their chosen beliefs would be embraced or promoted by government. Why would they want government to be possessed by any God when that was the curse they had been living? That freedom unleashed the chance for all religions and beliefs to grow and gain power. And that they have! But religions are great at claiming that the more members and money they have the more real their God must be. Catholicism, Islam and Christianity all fall into this trap and declare, without question, they are the one true religion.

So we have a free country overwhelmed by unlimited religions all positioning for power to influence government, and totalitarian countries removing all rights to believe, or forcing Islam or some other religion down the throats of their slaves.

It seems like religion is a problem no one can fix. Could it be because not one religion in the world has any valid evidence to close the deal on speculations about God?

So when Glenn Beck has a show with a dozen or so evangelical preachers expressing that the only way to save America is by returning to the literal Word and Gospel of Jesus Christ….I really worry about where we are going! Islam wants the whole world to return to the Dark Ages and the word of Allah as presented by Mohammed......while Christians dance around the issue of their true hidden desire…..a Christian Theocracy that puts the Word of Jesus ahead of our Constitution. On the other hand, the Left would like to restrict freedom of belief….especially when it comes to Evangelicals.

In America we have religions trying to strong arm government and freedom…even if it destroys that freedom! That’s a shame. In Iran, North Korea, China…etc… there is no real freedom…….That’s a shame.

Until God shows up and removes all doubt who the real God is, it would be nice if the religious charlatans would quit jerking us around!

As a conservative, I think what religions are doing to good conservatism is a shame, and what the Liberals are doing to free market democracy is a tragedy!

I am a loyal, fiscal conservative, capitalistic and freedom loving Agnostic American. I have grown very weary of the proselytizing by Republican conservatives who claim to be the "Party of God!"

However one wants to spin the argument about America being a Christian nation, it seems clear that the successes and strengths of America come from the foundation our forefathers established to insure a government of the people, by the people and for the people, with no control or attachment to anyone's chosen religion.

Since religions are based on speculation about which supernatural God rewards or punishes us, it is very unfortunate that our wise forefathers didn't see the problem they would create by using generic terms like "creator." It should be clear to any reasonable person that the great minds of our founders did not agree on whom or what the creator was, or they would have joined together to create the “one true theocracy”.....exactly the nightmare that drove them to face their dangerous journey to America. That is one reason so many of them fought to keep "Jesus" out of the founding documents. Obviously a good compromise for them was a "generic creator."… i.e. Thomas Jefferson did not accept Jesus a an immortal supernatural God.

Today, I see this as a very destructive issue to the climate of modern politics. In the environment of freedom, Christianity and all other religions and beliefs have grown and survived. Since many of our forefathers religious history came from Christian sects, the odds were good that Christianity would be come the predominant religion of many Americans. Great cases have been made to support the idea that the dominating religious dogma of any region tends to be those most likely to grow and survive in that region.

I am distressed at times about the political climate, and attitude of pious conservatives who cannot stop their attacks on everyone they see as not accepting of their God.

What is really confusing to me, is that all the god chasers, who can't even agree with one another about God, will join together to attack anyone who refuses to take a "leap of faith!" It is sort of like....if you don't believe in God you are pond scum," but if you will just believe in any one of the 10,000 or so gods, then you are a "brother in faith and righteousness to the Almighty!"

There is something very wrong with these equivalents .....

If Jesus = Obama = Rev. Wright = Huckabee = Beck = Graham = Ted Haggard = Romney = Pope …….does that equate to Honorable Character?

If God = Islam = Catholicism = Protestants = Mormonism = Hebrews = Scriptures =Religion ….. does that equate to Spiritual Truth?

I am tired of tuning in to media pundits who are praising the God of Government... or, the God of Righteousness.

In a free country we should define all people who obey and follow the law of our Democracy as valued citizens, and we should stop defining worthiness referring to scriptures credited to supernatural gods ....and delivered by men.

Some extremely worthwhile people are agnostic non-believers.....Bill Gates and Warren Buffet for example....giving to charities around the world and sharing their free market rewards.

I use to call myself a Republican......but it's hard to do today....

I have always thought of the Left and Liberalism as the "Church of Socialism" ...promoting sameness and destroying the free will to build a dream.

I now think of the Right and the Republicans as the "Church of Divisiveness"...promoting Christianity and Jesus as the foundation of America, and impeding the cause of fiscal conservatism so many non-believers cherish!

I don't care what creator you believe in, we should put religion aside like our forefathers did and regain the freedom and independence they gave us, or we will lose the freedom of belief that we should dearly cherish.

So, O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, Huckabee, Limbaugh, Ingram, Franklin Graham etc....quit insinuating that all non-believers are hopeless pond scum liberal progressives........America needs fiscally conservative non-believers to get our country back on track.......and trust me, there are many of us out here!

I heard Glenn Beck proselytizing today that we need to rebuild our connection to the faith of our forefathers.....I would remind him of Thomas Jefferson's words..."Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear."
Thomas Jefferson

Our factual knowledge and understanding of the Universe is 100 years old.

For 200,000 years mankind lived in ignorance and fear of the unknown.....and created gods and religions as the answers to that fear and ignorance.

As the wonders of the Universe are unraveled by modern science, it becomes clear that mankind's effort at the creation of gods is simplistic and silly.

When one begins to absorb the magnificence of the Universe, one thing should become very clear......
If there is a God, what we know about the Universe today would verify that It would be far more competent in communication and power than the bumbling versions of the confused God presented in the Old Testament, New Testament, and the Koran. And more importantly, that It obviously has not revealed itself to man and has allowed us to create 10,000 conflicting religions in the search for a vague Almighty.
We should get real....science rules...religions guess!

Even with past prosperity, our government has never been able to adequately fund or manage their social programs. As BO adds new ones like Health Care that will fail.....where will they get the money.....and who will it hurt?

If you don't know....you are part of the movement destroying the free market system!

There are no perfect solutions to our complex society, but there are bad ones that should be avoided. Socialism is destructive to our freedoms and pursuit of happiness....history proves that.

Our only hope is that our democracy remains strong enough to remove the Utopian dreamers from office.

For a president who ran an election campaign promising to raise “America’s standing” in the world, he is doing a spectacularly bad job. Obama seems bored and disinterested in foreign policy, and has made little effort to strengthen existing alliances or to build the kinds of enduring friendships with key foreign leaders that are vital for projecting strong US leadership across the globe. He has even treated America’s closest ally with utter contempt, throwing the Anglo-American Special Relationship onto the bonfire.

Without a doubt, the president is leading the United States on the path of decline as a world power, a dangerous course which a future US administration will have to reverse. Barack Obama cuts an increasingly lonely and at times isolated figure on the world stage, with few real friends, but confronted with the same array of deadly enemies that his predecessor faced. America, and the world, deserves better."

Would Israel's Netanyahu be willing to take more risks in the (moribund) Middle East peace process if he believed he could count on this U.S. president?
