God flourishes in America because of freedom......

Tonight, on 03-05-10 I watched a great presentation by Glen Beck on the problem of our educational system indoctrinating our children to progressivism.   He touched on many points I believe are important to maintain the liberty and freedoms our forefathers established for us.  It can easily be shown that our government school systems and universities are liberally dominated and controlled and use that power to promote Utopian socialist thinking.  Beck even used the example of Hugo Chavez saying that children in Venezuela are indoctrinated to socialism to make a point about the travesty in manipulating children’s minds toward Marxism.

And at the end, Beck mentions that George Washington said we could not have a free democratic society without God and the Bible.  It is simply not true that America’s formation would have been impossible without God… and especially the Bible!  I’m sure Thomas Jefferson would agree with me, and not George, on this point, and the Jefferson Bible should be adequate evidence of this!

Beck can spin it how he wants, but our forefathers, regardless of their religious beliefs, established a government separated from religion which allows freedom and the pursuit of happiness to flourish.   In that free environment religions have done very well….BUT THEY ARE NOT THE REASON FOR AMERICA’S SUCCESS!

But the most amazing thing to me is that Beck does not recognize that the indoctrination of children to anyone’s chosen religion is just as unfair to the children as brainwashing them to idea of Marxist Utopias.   We should teach children about freedom, capitalism and democracy because it is proven by history to be the best government for all people.  It is irresponsible to indicate that democracy relies on Christianity or any other faith.  Liberal Democracy encompasses all beliefs and should be blind to the myth of selling “one true religion!”

Beck, correctly, does not want to force Utopian Socialist ideas on young children in our schools and, rightfully, wants them to learn the principles of our constitution.   But one of the biggest problems the world faces is indoctrinating children from young ages to believe that the religion inherent to their locale is the “one true religion” and should overcome all the others in man’s search for gods.

I use common sense to agree with Beck on government, but common sense can not explain man’s dependence on the at least 10,000 religions on earth with the most troubling ones growing at a rapid rate.   Why not let our children learn, mature and intelligently choose a religion…or none… if they feel the calling?
